Although being a racing legend Jacky Ickx was always reserved to support any book or film project documenting his career. Only when the film makers Philip Selkirk and Stephan Heimann - well know through their documentaries on the Mille Miglia and Rudolf Caracciola - approached him, he agreed to support this 80 minute film project and is speaking "frankly" in the interviews about his successful past, but also about sad moments as the death of colleagues like Jochen Rindt and Stafan Bellof. Additional to Jackx also contemporary witnesses as Sir Jackie Stewart, Ron Dennis, Sir Stirling Moss, Jean Todt and Jochen Mass as well as his wife Khadja Nin and his two daughters have been interviewed. The stories of these people are fantastically illustrated by original footage from several public and private archives. The film is not only fast-paced and action-packed, but brings to life the hazardous era of motor racing in Jacky's day, as well as revealing the emotional world of one of the best and most versatile racing drivers of all time.
